The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 legend, Marco Van Basten, has joined the list of people who praise the Argentinean maestro, Lionel Messi. Van Basten was himself a legendary striker during his time but his career ended early because of an ankle injury. He was awarded the
world player of the year title in 1992.

there are still a few things left unaccomplished by the 24 year old as he still has to win a FIFA World Cup with the Argentinean football team.
The Netherlands legend, Marco Van Basten, recently praised Messi. Basten has been watching Messi a lot goals lately. The Argentinean star managed to score more than fifty goals in the last season and his stats simply speak for themselves.
Messi has managed to win all six club titles within his reach. Moreover, at individual level, the goal scoring machine has won himself the world player of the year title twice in a row. However, despite accomplishing so much in such a young age, Messi is
still humble and has the hunger to win more in the coming years.
Van Basten spoke to the press about Messi’s character and how he is still hungry for winning more. He was quoted saying:
"There is no doubt about it, [Messi]'s clearly the best player in the world. He's a phenomenon who has already won everything, but is still hungry for more. His humbleness only makes him greater.”
Since Lionel Messi is still to win a title with the Argentinean team and he is often compared the Argentinean legend Diego Maradona, Van Basten said:

Lionel Messi is short-listed for the FIFA Ballon d’Or and Basten believes that the Argentinean star is the favourite to win the individual title. He said:
"I think that he will win the FIFA Ballon d'Or again. Not only does he have a lot of quality, but he has also won La Liga, the Champions League, the Spanish Supercup, and has been a key figure all season."
