So much was the talk of his performances that Italian national team manager, Cesare Prandelli had to call him to the provisional squad for Euro 2012.
Many people have gone on to compare him with Juventus star Andrea Pirlo. Today, the 19-year-old is considered to be one of the greatest hopes of Italian football. Many Italian clubs including Milan and Juventus have been keeping tabs on the player but it now appears that Verratti’s preference is playing in the French Ligue 1.
Reports claim that Paris Saint-Germain sporting director http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 is in advanced contacts with the player and his agent and the club is willing to compensate Pescara with 12 million euros to let go of their prized asset.

Many people have been critical of Verratti’s decision but the youngster may have done the right thing by choosing a league where the media will give him the space he needs.
