thing to lure him to Parc des Princess.
The first game of the Championnat on Saturday against Lorient FC was the first time, many PSG fans got a chance to witness firsthand, the talents of the 19-year-old Italian.
The game ended in a 2-2 draw and PSG barely got a point from the match thanks to a second half brace from Ibrahimovic. However, despite seeing his side take the game by the scruff of the neck in the second period, Verratti is not happy with the result and
his own performances.
The former Pescara man feels that he was not doing well which was the reason why Carlo Ancelotti replaced him despite his side trailing the game 2-0 against a side that barely survived relegation last season.
“From a personal standpoint, I cannot be satisfied. When I was replaced, we were trailing 0-2. It shows that we have not done what we needed to do. I hope that my game will rise in the next matches.”
The former Pescara starlet knows that despite spending so much money in the transfer market, the Parisian club should not expect to dominate the Championnat. The team is yet to hit top form and Verratti says that work needs to be done on this team.
“This team is not yet in top form and should continue to work.”
While talking about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance, the youngster said that the Swede’s performance has given him a lot of hope for the future.
“When I see Ibrahimovic, who is the last to join us, has already scored twice, it makes me optimistic for the future.”
Summoned by the Italian national team manager, Cesare Prandelli for Wednesday’s friendly game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, Verratti has a bright future ahead of him and having a player like Ibra around him, will certainly help him develop into a huge star.
