The Paris Saint-Germain teenager has been a real revelation since the start of the season but his tendency to dribble in awkward areas has led to some failures in recent games
At the age of 19, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 international, Marco Verratti has become an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for Ligue 1 outfit, Paris Saint-Germain. The youngster who was signed from Pescara earlier this summer, was quickly inducted into the starting XI
thanks to a few good performances and injuries to other players in his position.
Praised since the beginning of his first season in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, the youngster is still criticised for his propensity to dribble in areas which have been deemed hazardous.
And, the youngster admits that it is a risk but maintains that it is also his responsibility to hold the ball before passing it to his teammates.
“Often, when I see my games, I realise that it is a risk, yes. But I assure you, when I’m on the ground, the first thing I think is not to lose the ball and find the best way to use it. The coach often told me that in some areas, you do not keep the ball.
At the same time, this is one of my characteristics to hold the ball before serving it to my teammates.”
However, the youngster has added that he tries his best not to lose the ball and will try not to dribble way more than required.
Thirsty for knowledge and gaining as much experience as he can, Verratti is happy to hear the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 telling him that he is making progress. The 19-year-old knows that he is heading in the right direction and it is important
for him to stay humble and be respectful to all the great players around him.
Tonight, PSG play against Dinamo Zagreb and although Thiago Silva gave a good account of his versatility against Stade de Reims, Verratti is set to retain his position. Although Dinamo Zagreb have made a poor start to their Champions League campaign, Verratti
knows that he will come up against a tough side that will make things hard in the midfield so over-dribbling might not be the order of the day.
