Donato di Campli has ruled out reports linking the 20-year-old to a move away from the Paris-based club saying that the player is happy at Parc des Prince and does not wish to leave the club
Marco Verratti's agent, Donato di Campli, has dismissed reports that the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder would be moving back to Italy in the upcoming transfer window. He also stated that the player is happy at Parc des Princes and intends to stay and help
the team win trophies.
Following the increased interest in the player by Italian giants, Juventus, there have been rumours that the midfielder might be moving to his homeland. The midfielder has been on the radar of several European clubs including the London-based clubs, Arsenal
and Chelsea.
The Bianconeri seek the young Italian as a replacement to their aging midfield maestro, Andrea Pirlo. The midfielder’s playing style resembles to that of the Italian veteran and is said to be the perfect heir to the fomer AC Milan player.
Juventus tried signing the young prospect last summer but refused to pay the asking price of €12m for the 20-year-old. But now with the midfielder having proved his potential in the Ligue 1, the Turin-based club seems determined to bring their target to
the Juventus stadium.
However, Verratti’s agent has cooled down talks regarding his transfer in the upcoming January transfer window. The player is said to be happy at Parc des Princes, and has no desire to leave the club, as his agent insisted on his stay, saying:
“There is no truth in the stories that Marco will return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.”
The Italian went on to add:
“He’s very happy at PSG, one of the most important clubs in the world and one with a very ambitious project.”
Di Campli said that the rumours only surfaced because of the manager, Carlo Ancelotti's, possible exit from the Paris-based club next summer, following inconsistent performances by les Parisieins. The agent believes that the future of the player is not tied
to that of the manager. He said:
“The story about Marco leaving PSG has only come out because of the Ancelotti rumours. But Marco’s future is not tied to that of Ancelotti.”
