Paris Saint-Germain have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Ligue 1 for the first time this season causing a massive panic among the supporters. However, Les Parisiens midfielder, Marco Verratti is remaining confident and is unconcerned about his side’s
recent slump in form.
Talking to reporters, the 20-year-old stated that although PSG haven’t perform well in the Ligue 1 this month, team’s morale is still very high and players are raring to get back to winning ways.
Verratti, who won his second international cap against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 last week, believes that it is only matter of time before Paris Saint-Germain find their best form again and there is no need to worry.
"The atmosphere is good around the club so there is nothing to worry about," the Italian told Rmcsport.fr.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side has yet to win a game in Ligue 1 this month. Loss against Saint-Etienne was Les Parisiens’ first of the season, which was followed by the draw against Montpellier, and then last week’s defeat at the hands of Stade Rennais.
And the club coach has admitted that PSG are in crisis in the wake of recent results. However, Marco Verratti doesn’t agree with his coach and feels that the capital club has what it takes to hit back and get back to winning ways.
The 20-year-old said that the coach has asked the players to be more aggressive on the pitch and play with more desire. And the midfielder has vowed to perform better in the upcoming games and repay the coach’s faith in him and other players.
"After the defeat, the coach (Carlo Ancelotti) asked us to be more aggressive on the field and have more desire. This is a difficult time for us, but we are able to get over it, and I am comfortable that we will do it. There is no particular concern in the
locker room, we will be fine."
