Angeleri expected to leave Black Cats
Sunderland full-back, Marcos Angeleri, is expected to leave the Stadium of Light after failing to make an impact with the Black Cats.
Angeleri joined Sunderland from Argentine club, Estudiantes, before the start of the 2010/11 season. The Argentine international was restricted to only three appearances due to a ligament injury picked up at the start of the season. The 28-year-old recently
had an operation to his troublesome knee and is expected to return to his former club for the next season.
Reports in the media suggest that the left-back has returned home for the summer break and he has trained with Estudiantes, which might suggest that he will be returning back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 next season.
Sunderland manager, Steve Bruce, admitted to the concerns of Angeleri and believes that it has been a difficult http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 for them to keep him fit and has been constantly troubled by the same injury.
Bruce said: "Angeleri has not been fit since the Benfica game in pre-season, which is a shame.
"He went back to Argentina to see the specialist about his knee. His surgeon is involved with the Argentinean national team, so we decided it would be better for him to go and speak to him in his native language."
Bruce is prepared to make a major overhaul to the squad and it is highly expected that the player will be allowed to leave on a free transfer in the summers.
Diouf wants to join Hammers
Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 forward, El-Hadji-Diouf, has revealed that he would relish the opportunity to reunite with the former manager, Sam Allardyce, at West Ham United.
Allardyce was recently appointed the manager of the relegated, West Ham United, side and Diouf, who has worked under the manager during his Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn days, wants a third re-union with the tactician.
Blackburn boss, Steve Kean, is looking to rebuild the squad after a less than impressive season and Diouf is expected to get the chop after failing to inspire the team.
"Working with Sam? That would be a fantastic thing to do. Sam is a fantastic manager and very good man. I would be delighted to work under him again."
The Senegalese international has made 60 appearances for the Rovers so far and has scored only four goals.
