Perth Scorchers' skipper Marcus North is relishing the pace friendly conditions in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Titans-c856 in the latest edition of the Champions League T20, at Centurion in Saturday’s tournament curtain raiser.
Two of the three previous tournaments were held in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 where the playing conditions are quite different to the ones the Australian players experience in Down Under. But the pitches in South Africa, venue for the latest edition of the esteemed league, traditionally favour pace bowlers and Australia’s Champions League T20 representatives, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers are looking forward to exploiting the familiar playing conditions over the next couple of weeks.
"Conditions over here are very similar to Australian conditions," said Scorchers’ skipper Marcus North while speaking to media reporters ahead of their tournament opener on Saturday.
"There's no doubt that it will be easier for us to adapt to playing in this format over here than it would be in India, where the conditions are vastly different to what we experience back in Australia," he added further.
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 side kick started its latest Sheffield Shield campaign in an unimpressive way, and are yet to register a win. But North is confident the CLT20 will help Scorchers’ players find form.
The latest edition of the esteemed T20 league – jointly owned by the BCCI, Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 and Cricket South Africa – featuring domestic Twenty20 champions from around the world, kicks off in Centurion today.

But the Scorchers possess a strong batting line up boasting a number of veteran International batsmen in Australia’s Marcus North, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bradley-Hogg-c59047.
"I think we've got the skills, and the talent and experience in the side that we can go on and do well in the competition," said Collingwood, who had led England to their lone World T20 title in 2010.
