Marcus Williams to the Warriors?

Wasn't he a projected lotto pick back in 06? Do you think he has a chance to be the starting PG, let Monta slide into SG, and let Corey be 6th man? Do you think that mean CJ will be released.

  1. I say this should be Warriors lineup:

    PG: Monta

    SG: Jack

    SF: Corey

    PF: B. Wright

    C: Dre (Biedrins)

    6th man: Ronny or Al

  2. he's not rly that great. hes a bench pg.

  3. No that will throw off the roster.

    PG. Marcus Williams

    SG. Monta Ellis

    SF. Stephen Jackson

PF. Corey Maggette - Will be undersized

    C. Harrington/Biedrins - Harrington is a tough cover cause of versatility but he is 2 small to play center and Biedrins shoots 60% should start.

    PG. Ellis

    SG. Jackson

    SF. Maggette

    PF. Harrington

    C. Biedrins

    * This works out much better and getting Marcus Williams would be good cause the backup PG is CJ Watson. Thats not a good sign. Marcus Williams is a solid passer and can shoot the 3 he can play with Monta nicely. I see him as the 8th man.

6th. Azuibuike - Good thing he signed your offer sheet

    7th. Wright

    8th. Williams

    9th. Turiaf

    10. Randolph

    11. Croshere

    12. Bellinelli

  4. That wont happen. Maggette is a 20ppg guy. He wont be so happy becoming a sixth man. Ellis is also a natural point guard. And either way Williams isn't as good as Maggette or Ellis

  5. nobody cares.....

  6. maggette gets 20 points a game -_- and ellis gets 18 so you can bench either of them.

  7. I don't know much about Marcus or how good he is but at least the Warriors have a PG to back up Monta or maybe even play PG so Monta can be SG again.  I love Monta but I'm more comfortable with him as SG at least in the immediate future.

  8. What up ellisttot,

Marcus Williams since he's come into the league has always been seen as a guard with a lot of talent- but needing time to develop.  He was really talked about because at the time he was playing with Jason Kidd and people thought Kidd could tutor him- but the Nets when they traded Kidd to get Devin Harris i think also said a lot about how much they thought Williams could step into that role.  If Williams was ready to start they wouldn't have traded for Devin Harris- they would have taken someone else- and started Williams.

Williams is a good pick up for the Warriors- but the problem because who do you bring off the bench.

One of the reasons that Corey Maggette has clashed with Mike Dunleavy the last 3 years is because Corey wanted to start and the Clippers brought him off the bench- i don't think Corey will be happy being the sixth man.

I'm thinking that Marcus will come off the bench- and they'll send CJ to the developmental league... that's just my guess...
