Mardi Boy leads market for A1 420m Flat
Mardi Boy holds the highest odds in the betting market for the A1 420m Flat race that is scheduled to be held at Peterborough racecourse on Wednesday night, May 9. The action will commence at 20:40 (GMT).
On the 420 meter flat track, the David Pruhs-trained black dog will run against Petal, Baycity Joe, Starmax and Chico Sweet. A prize cheque of £98 will be distributed among the runners.
Mardi Boy has been winning with regular intervals since the very beginning of his career in December 2011. After breaking his maiden on December 15, the dashing dog bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs in January 2012.
The two-year-old novice runner moved on to bag three runner-up ranks in a row. He again finished first in a big race by the margin of 8 ¾ lengths on March 2.
On April 21, the talented son of Royal Impact out of Pennys Kim elegantly accomplished a magnificent triumph. He finished second after a fierce battle in his last outing on May 2.
Overall, the hot favourite hound owns a terrific track record which is why the punters have regarded him as the hot favourite runner for tonight’s marathon.
If Mardi Boy runs to his best, his chances to thrive will be as high as 95 percent.
However, Petal can trigger an upset in the race as the R. Devenish-trained blue and fawn b***h achieved two classic victories along with a runner-up rank during April 2012. Prior to this, the brilliant b***h had gained two consecutive triumphs in December 2011. The talented daughter of Ballymac Maeve out of Southoe Queen looks to be strong enough at the moment.
Baycity Joe is also likely to do well in the coming contest. The L. Corrigan-trained blue and brindle dog earned three triumphs along with a runner-up position during the last couple of months. He is quite confident to show a big run.
In this situation, there is likely to be a tough tug of war in the race. Mardi Boy will have to fight hard in order to thrive. Let us get ready for a fabulous action. Good luck to all the hounds.
