Mardy Fish falls out of the 2013 Australian Open due to critical health – Tennis News 
American tennis professional, Mardy Fish, has been out of form since April 2012, as he was unable to contest after the French Open due to illness. Although, he struggled hard but pulled out of the other tournaments from the last
two months as his minor heart trouble continues to persist. His agent has confirmed the news that Fish will miss out the Australian Open Grand Slam event next season.
His agent, John Tobias informed his fans, “The good news is that Mardy's health is improving and he is back on the court slowing getting back into his regular workouts." 
His performance picked a decent pace at the Sony Ericsson Open and he gradually battled to stay in the game. Unfortunately, after receiving a straight set shocker, 6-1, 6-3, in the quarter-finals at the hands of the Argentina,
Juan Monaco, he woke up in the middle of the night due to outrageous heart beat.
Talking to media about his critical medical condition, he said, "I was completely panicking ... I thought I was going to die."
The right-hander American player encountered the problem of an irregular heartbeat and surely has a great impact on his performance as a sportsman. He underwent a critical knee surgery in the year 2009, and dropped 30 pounds of
weight after that. Nonetheless, he sustain his passion for tennis, reaching his career height in the year 2010-11, as he was ranked world number seven.
Ranked 27th in the South African ATP World Tour Rankings, Fish, struggled through the initial four rounds of the US Open. Gradually, he picked pace and prevailed over the higher seeded rivals in the initial round. He
withdrew because of grave health in the fourth round as he was paired against Swiss Maestro, Roger Federer.
The American veteran underwent a two-hour electrophysiology treatment and discovered that he was suffering from serious heart arrhythmia. After this operation, his doctors believe that Fish is perfectly healthy and can surely resume
a light tennis practise in the upcoming weeks. Ever since his first troubled heart, Fish has appeared in less tournaments but he claims to be relatively healthier than before.
The American contender is hopeful for a bright future in the sport for the ending years of his career. He is ambitious with high hopes for his prospect in tennis and plans to return to the competitive tennis at Wimbledon. If his
health favours him, Fish might even contest at the Queens Club in order to gear up.
