Marek Hamsik looking forward to Bayern Munich clash and tips http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 to win: Serie A news
Napoli midfielder, Marek Hamsik, is eagerly looking forward to play against German giants, Bayern Munich, in the UEFA Champions league encounter at the Stadio San Paolo on Tuesday, 18 October 2011.
The Bavarians are currently leading the Group A after winning both of their opening two matches of the season. On the other hand, Napoli are placed 2nd in the group with four points from two games. The Group A is undoubtedly
the toughest of the groups as it includes Villarreal and Manchester City too. The game holds immense importance as the winner will edge closer to seal the qualification to the next round.
However, Hamsik insists that the result of the match will not have a decisive say on the group standings, as there are many more matches left to play.
While talking to the reporters, Hamsik said, “I don’t think the game will be decisive with regards to who qualifies from the group and who doesn’t.”
The former Brescia star believes that despite Bayern’s wonderful form this season, Napoli hold the home advantage in the tie.
“We have the advantage of playing at home. This is also a game that you dream of playing as a child.”
The defender is still ruing the defeat against Parma over the weekend and insists that domestic league and Champions League are totally different. The 24-year-old admitted that his team did not play the Parma game with concentration
and deserved to lose.
“It’s hard in the championship because the teams that come here are ready for a war and you need one special touch to unlock the game. Saying that, by trying to win the game on Saturday, we left Parma too much space…”
The other two teams in the group, Manchester City and Villarreal have had poor starts to their campaign. The Spanish outfit is yet to register a point after suffering two defeats in as many games. On the other hand, the Premier
League outfit has picked up only one point from their two games.
