Marek Hamsik still under the radar of Paris Saint-Germain - Ligue 1 news

Slovakian international Marek Hamsik is one of the hottest young prospects in European football at the moment. At the age of 24, the youngster is attracting considerable amount of interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604,
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and Real Madrid.
Currently on the books of Italian Serie A side Napoli, the midfield maestro has been under the radar of French Ligue 1 big-spenders Paris Saint-Germain for quite some time. Reports now suggest that the cash-laden side is ready to mount a bid for the talented
midfielder in the upcoming winter transfer window.
While Carlo Ancelotti is occupying most of the space in sports columns in French newspapers, sporting director Leonardo is working behind the scenes to bring the Slovakian to the Parc des Princes as he seeks to build a squad worthy of rubbing shoulders with
European elites.
French newspapers claim that Hamsik is the main target for PSG this winter and Leonardo is now looking to start negotiations with the leaders of the Naples-based club in order to bring the midfielder to Parc des Princes.
Under contract until June 2015, it is likely that Napoli will play hard to keep the player at the club whose owner Aurelio De Laurentiis will certainly do whatever it is in his power to keep hold of his side’s main man.
Napoli are currently in third place in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League and elimination from Europe’s most prestigious club competition could play a major factor in Hamsik’s decision of jumping ship.
A fee in the region of 40 million Euros has been set for the mercurial midfielder but it is likely that Napoli would ask for even more than the original price especially if other interested clubs contact http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
In the summer transfer window, Leonardo did approach Aurelio Di Laurentiis over a possible move for prolific striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 but did not pursue the matter too much due to the Napoli owner’s stance. However, the Uruguayan striker is still under the
radar of PSG and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 would try to bring in both players to Camp des Loges in the winter especially after the club’s new owners promised the sporting director ample transfer kitty for this winter’s spending spree.
