AC Milan defender Marek Jankulovski said that he was very happy with the win against Napoli on Monday and is ecstatic upon taking a step closer to the title.
However, the Czechoslovakian has insisted upon the fact that there is still a long way to go and Milan should not just sit back and should come out more energetic.
The left back-c*m-winger joined Milan in 2005 after serving 3 years with Udinese. He has managed 112 appearances for the club so far in which he has scored 4 goals in all competitions.
“I am very happy for the side and their effort this evening, We played a great match against a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 side,” the Czech told.
AC Milan took another step towards the Scudetto after defeating Napoli on Monday. The defeat means that Napoli go to the 3rd spot and a point behind 2nd placed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan while the Rossoneri stretched their lead to 5 points with 11
games remaining in the season.
“We have taken a step, coming closer to winning the Scudetto, but there are still many more matches to go until the end of the season,” the left back further added.
Jankulovski has represented other clubs like Udinese, Napoli and Banik Ostrava in which he has managed to make 413 appearances during his 16 years in club football. The 33-year-old has also netted 47 goals during the process.
The Czech international seemed excited at the fact that the Rossoneri are heading towards their 18th title after winning the last in the 2003-04 season. A title win would bring them on level terms with the Nerazzurri. Juventus are the only team
to have won the title more than any other club in the Serie A. (27 times)
AC Milan will travel to Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, 5 March, 2011 to take on the 7th placed Juventus in a very important encounter that could still play a major role in the Rossoneri title race against Leonardo’s Inter Milan.
Milan cannot afford a slip up especially when the ongoing 2010-11 season is coming to an end but player fatigue could play a major part in their success as the club is due to travel to London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of the UEFA Europa
League round of 16 fixture. Milan are trailing the encounter by a 1-0 margin and have to score an important away goal that could revive their Champions League campaign.
The Czech international has continually stressed upon the fact that Milan just cannot afford to relax and should keep one eye into the next round of the Champions League while the other should be fixed upon the Serie A title.
