how long is margarine good for in the refrigerator.

i have some thats been in the refrigerator for a few months?

can i still use it.

  1. It it's unopened, it's probably o.k..  It will grow mold if it's been opened.  Just check it for signs of decay.


  2. Wellll...  I'm a guy, and I really dont clean out the fridge that often, and I have margarine in there many many months old, and it is still good.  As long as it does not stink, it is still ok.  Hey, I've not gotten sick yet!  :)

  4. Yes margerine and butter are good for ages and ages in the fridge. The only thing is that sometimes it can take on the odor from other foods, but it is still okay to use. Keep it in the freezer for even longer life.

    P.S. Margerine will not grow mold!!!

  5. I don't believe margarine is good at any time.  When my eight years in boarding school were up I made two vows, one was not to share sleeping quarters with a bunch of other guys and the other was not to eat margarine ever again.  I have kept both of these vows for fifty years!
