Margarito, Floyd Mayweather and Paul Williams, lets examine the three.

Ok, first off. I'd just like to ask why people think Paul Williams can beat Floyd Mayweather?

In the last fight I saw him in which was against Margarito, he won that fight only because of how many punches he threw, which was over a thousand and Margarito blocked most of those shots.

Floyd Mayweather would've danced circles around Williams and out boxed him to win an east decision in my opinion.

Everyone is hyping it up now claiming that Margarito would've been able to beat Floyd which isn't exactly true.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. would win by unanimous decision. Although Margarito pounded and punished Cotto for the later rounds, he was very sloppy doing so. Floyd Mayweather is as technical as they come as a boxer and would have never been in that much danger. Cotto got mixed up in a brawl, (one in which he had no chance of winning) If Cotto would have kept it a boxing match, and kept as much control as Mayweather has in each fight, he would have ended up with the split decision. He was not used to fighting on his heels (not being the aggresor), and he panicked. Mayweather wins fights as the aggressor, and on his heels because he is a ring general. He let Margarito dictate the fight, and that is the reason he lost. This loss exposed his weakness. Cotto also loses to Floyd Mayweather Jr. by unanimous decision, or possibly by a late round TKO something like the Hatton fight. I don't understand how people think Floyd Mayweather is scared of anybody. If Paul Williams is next vs. Margarito and beats him again as he did in their first meeting (Paul Williams will beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in all of the PBF haters minds) The reason why Floyd is a great is because of his ring management skills and his defense. It's not called running. Otherwise they're wouldn't be judges scoring each round on a point system. They'd just let them fight until someone was knocked out and was unable to continue.

Does anyone else have anything else to say?? Or that they would like to add?

  1. I think PBF beats all three and the rest of the "class".  But I do not think PBF hands can take many more fight thus he retired.  I think he has one more in him.  I hope the plan all along has been to let the other knock themselves off and he comes back for the mega fight.

Cintron only has a punchers chance.  He has no chin and PBF would find it on several occasions.  Middle round KO.

"Hitter" Cotley did dispose of an aging Super Judah.  PBF has a little more pop in his punches, a little quicker on his feet, and a much better defense.  Cotley would eventually just follow PBF around the ring and get punched.  Unaminous decision.

Williams has no power and throws in volume.  I doubt it he would find PBF.  Additionally, his defense is his offense.  Middle to late round KO.

Cotto's pressure and popularity concerns me against PBF.  It would probably not be a pretty fight, but I do not see Cotto land clean enough to hurt him.  Unless PBF dominate early, I think the hater-ade will effect the judges scoring.  Split decision.......

Margarito reminds me a lot of the late D Corrales.  Applying a lot of pressure and loading up with wide shots.  I think Margarito is stronger and has a better chin, but I thnk it would be much of the same.  Late round KO or unaminous decison.

I hope it happens next summer.  PBF if you are reading, come knock this bum out!

  2. margarito-true warrior never surrender style come full force is finally getting the credit he really deserves

williams-dont know who he is dont really care

    mayweather-boring!!!!!!! overrated big mouth

  3. First Im going to start with Williams. Williams let Quintana out box him and pop shot him to a UD. We have to keep in mind, Williams came in over weight fight time. He was 165 ish, I believe. Reason people say Margarito will beat PBF cause he beat Cotto. Cotto out boxed him for at least 5 to  6rounds. Cotto is not a complete boxer and doesn't have the mind of one. Yes, he counter punched, slip punches, used his jab and move a little along the ropes. Cotto was moving along the ropes tomuch, never brought the fight to the center of the ring, were his jab gave him the reach advantage. Over work himself, stamina issues, didn't hold when he need to, didn't show good head movement later rounds and defense. He's not comfortable fighting going backwards. Cotto did goog the first part of the match but I think allot of peopel was trying to make Cotto a complete boxer and trying to compare him to PBF. I dont think Cotto trainer can take him to the next level on his boxing skils. I believe Roger mayweather can. If Margo let Cotto out box him for at least six rounds, PBF can do it for 12.

  4. i agree with you Paul Williams is overrated espacially by commentator Max Kellerman he has no chance against PBF i mean come on now he lost to Carlos Quintana a much smaller non skilled opponent compared to PBF Margarito does not have a chance either Cotto would have won by split decision if he hadn't broke his nose in the middle rounds which caused him his stamina in the later rounds PBF has much greater stamina and defense and would beat Margo by UD in a rematch against Cotto and Margo i think with a few adjustments and work on his stamina and going to the body Cotto will get the Unanimous decision over Margarito i really hope there is a rematch it would open doors for a great trilogy.

  5. i agree with everything u sed. couldnt have sed it better. i also think that floyd could possibly handle both of them. but am disappointed in his retirement. hope he comes bak
