Margarito wants to fight DLH and not Williams?

Question

Is he less of a fighter because he wants a big payday? I'm interested to see what his fans think, since they were quick to knock PBF for doing the same thing. Funny thing about it is, Cotto would of done the same if he would of won.

marcus,you are stupid or jus dont know whats going on in boxing..margo wanted the rematch with williams & paul declined & than paul lost to quintana...& now that margo is in the spotlight williams has to take that rematch...if margo wants to fight de la homo it aint about the money its about being recognized...margo held the wbo title for 11 years & nobody knew about him because all the known fighters were avoiding him...margo took the williams fight when he didnt have to because he was already set to fight cotto but margo didnt just want to vacate the title he had worked for for so many years...and in the williams vs margo fight williams was the only one hurt in that fight,in the 11th round williams almost got koed & look at williams face after the fight all purple & bruised.& margos face was normal after taking williams best shots....margo has changed his strategy and he will start fast in a rematch and ko williams ! and to guido,margos first three loses were when he was 15 years old fighting grown men & lost on points...margo got robbed against the dirty head butter d.santos..watch the fight you r****d...and against williams it was a close fight & williams was the one hurt in that fight....its like remember chavez vs taylor?taylor was winning on points but taylor almost died & ended up punch drunk from the beating he took but idiots still think chavez lost!

Margarito certainly has paid his dues, so he's entitled to any fight he wants to make.

With that said, I hope De La Hoya doesn't fight Margarito. The first reason is that The Golden Boy (Golden Old Man) would seriously risk his health at this stage of this career. The other reason is that he should retire. Let the young guys shine and the next De La Hoya get his chance. These old boxers exploit their fans' nostalgia for the old days IMO.

i think paul williams has margaritos number, plus tony seems to have problems fighting people that are taller and have reach advantage (paul williams and D. Santos) i think tony will avoid these 2 guys as long as he can, cause they both have beaten him.

people hate on floyd for two things....1) he is not a foolish brawler who would go out there and get pummeled just to satisfy the casual boxing fan's blood lust and 2) he is a smart business man.

Pure boxers are rarely appreciated during their careers just ask gene tunney and larry holmes...people want to see knock outs and brawls and people resented mayweather because he was winning matches through pure boxing instead or knocking people out a la mike tyson......and then the fact that he beat most of their favourite fighters made them hate him even more, even if he fought and beat both cotto and margarito people would still bash him because he would probably do it in a "boring" fashion (to them it's boring but to me that's a rare display of great skill) and then before you know it they would come out with someone else that could supposedly beat him.....just look at them now....before the fight with cotto not too many people gave margarito a chance and now that cotto lost everyone's forgotten about him and moved on to the next man of the hour, floyd understands this and that's why he does not always play into their demands...he does what 's best for him and margarito should do the same because just like floyd mayweather jr, margarito has earned that right.
