Maria Montez expected to fire in Ladbrokes Bet On Your Mobile Handicap at Wolverhampton
Maria Montez has been installed as favourite for Ladbrokes Bet On Your Mobile Handicap, being held at Wolverhampton on Thursday, April 12, 2012.
The three-year-old was impressive in her last two appearances and thus, the bookmakers are not reluctant to give her the highest starting price for the 5f216y meeting.
The class 6 event, which is scheduled to commence at 17:55 GMT, has attracted 12 quality runners. Their names are: Maria Montez, Trending, Kathleensluckylad, My Name Is Sam, Menelik, Art Dzeko, First Rebellion, Bitter Lemon,
Jeremy Sue, Phebes Wish, Strike A Pose and Hawaiian Freeze.
Maria Montez failed to spark on her debut in November last year. After presenting a few poor performances early in her career, the filly started improving her work little by little.
At the start of last month, J. W. Hills’ trainee displayed a fine show to secure second place in the Enjoy The Punters Package Group Offer Handicap.
Although she could not maintain high standards in her subsequent race, the filly managed to beat Strike A Pose by ½L to nab fourth position at Lingfield.
Since most of the participants are currently out of form, it looks an ideal chance for the John M Cole-owned to top the chart.
Trending is another dashing runner, who is expected to do well. In both of his previous races, the three-year-old finished fifth on the table.
Jeremy Gask's trainee has not grabbed any victory so far in his career. Although the gelding is not in winning mood these days, it will be foolish to take him lightly.
Kathleensluckylad is another novice, who is starving for his first victory. The three-year-old made his last trip in November last year, when he could only secure fifth rank in the 32Red Median Auction Maiden Stakes.
After doing a lot of hard work during his layoff, the Kevin Ryan-trained is geared up to rock the party. Trending is a highly rated runner, but our vote goes to Maria Montez.
The filly just needs to deliver her one hundred percent in a bid to lock the top position. We wish her the best of luck.
