Maria Sharapova’s journey away from courts – Tennis Special
World number two, Maria Sharapova, sizzled on the red-carpet of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on the Valentine’s Day. The event was hosted in the most mesmerizing auditoriums of The Lincoln Centre, New York. The slender-legged Russian
diva made her glamorous appearance in the Vera Wang Fall 2012 presentation. She was offered the hot seat just next to the likes of Editor Anna Wintour and Viola Davis.
The gorgeous tennis lady looked astounding in her rag & bone skirt, coupled with a Carven top and Jason Wu coat. She was also wearing a Tag Heuer watch and her pair of shoes was Cole Haan made. All in all, she was the most awe-inspiring
figure in the fashion show. She is just 24-years-old and rocking the shows with her mesmerizing on-court and off-court gestures.
Sadly, she couldn’t see her special man on the Valentine’s Day. Sasha Vujacic was busy with her professional hectic schedule of basketball and couldn’t set a date with her beloved Russian. Both these players are reported to be
engaged to one another but haven’t set up a date for their wedding so far.
Vujacic was the one who aired the news about his relationship with Sharapova back in 2010. He stated, “We are engaged and are both really happy. It's good and now we can focus on other things. It's was probably old school. I had
to do it like a gentlemen.”
Probably the 17-years-old Sharapova stole his heart when she made a remarkable upset in the final of Wimbledon 2004, defeating the likes of then-world number one, Serena Williams, in the final.
Sharapova also made an alluring appearance in the Rodarte Fashion show as well. She was wearing an attractive sleeveless purple dress. She was looking the most beautiful divas present in the arena. She was sighted having a friendly
chat with the pint-sized fashion blogger, Tavi Gevinson, who represented Style Rookie. The beauty queens from several parts of American walked on the ramp wearing the designers’ clothes of Kate and Laura Mulleavy.
Sharapova took time out for the photographers and posed for them for the paparazzi. Talking of photo shoots, I should take you to the past where it all started for Maria Sharapova. It was the midst of the year 2006 when the slender-legged
blonde from Russia took a long leap from courts to the beach of Turks and Caicos where the renowned photographer, Walter Iooss, took several photo shoots for the annual swimsuit edition of sports illustrated magazine.
This was the second major breakthrough of her life after winning the first Grand Slam title in Wimbledon 2004. She was called upon for several photo shoots after this successful experience and people from all around the globe gave
an exceptional reception to these photo shoots.
Everything is going great for the Russian at the moment; made a remarkable comeback at the courts in the Australian Open 2012 after a lengthy injury lay-off. Probably there is still a lot to come from the tennis beauty queen. Stay
tuned; world is not coming to an end in 2012!
