Mariachi loud and clear in Beijing, how did you feel?

The mariachi singing el son de la negra sounded 7 times, even when the Chinese delegation was marching, one could fel the festive and happy spirit of our land in that stadium. Que orgullo, no?

Que opinan? Why did they choose mariachi especially?

I know is not futbol, Ok, but where can I get so many Mexicans togethr to ask this?

i shut every1 up at home so i could hear it cause i wasnt sure. Made me proud to hear it in China. Mariachi is awesome. even white people love it. thats y they chose it

When I first heard I thought Mexico was coming out but then I realized that they were playing it in the background. El son de la Negra played when Argentina, USA, China and a couple other countries came out. If it would of played when Mexico came out I'd be all emotional about it. Que lindo se oye el mariachi en cualquier parte del mundo y que orgullo se siente ser MEXICANO!

I don't know if anyone noticed, but the best part was just when the  U.S.A. team came out, the mariachi music BLASTED!!! That was a statement in so many ways! It was classic.

beijing is like the world cup, alot of countries and must have every tradition participating

it was cool but so what if they blasted it in the USA's face. they could care less. USA came to win and they are in 1st in the medal count so far. if mexican fans highlight was that they played mariachi music then you might as well go home after the opening ceremony.
