Mariage Freres in Paris?

My sister is going to Europe tomorrow and I want her to bring back some tea for me that you can only get at Mariage Freres in Paris. I just went online to get her directions, and it says that this place is incredibly formal. Can she and a few friends just stop by to pick up some tea while they are sightseeing? They will be far from formally dressed. I was under the impression that this was a shop, not a formal tearoom. Thanks!

  1. They will be happy to sell them something without much regard to how they are dressed.

In any case, you can buy their products in department stores such as Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.

You can also order their products online: http://www.mariagefreres.com/

  2. The front of the tea room is a shop, full of people just stopping in to buy some tea. Even though you can buy it at other stores around the city, it's a true experience to go to the shop, order your tea, and watch them collect the various tins down off the shelves, weight it out, and package it up for you.

  3. The link given above lists all the places where you can buy their tea in Paris (and elsewhere). Just click on "our addresses". You sister doesn't have to go to the tearoom, she can go to one of the many stores but if she wanted to, they won't care about how she dresses anyway.

  4. mariage is the world best tea !!!!!!

    yummy!!!

  5. hi. I suggest you the tea KUSMI. better than mariage freres
