Marianne Vos wins third stage and also takes overall lead in 2011 Rabo Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden
Nederland Bloeit team’s Marianne Vos won the third stage and also took the overall leader’s yellow jersey of 2011 Rabo Ster Zeeuwsche Eilanden in Westkapelle on Saturday, June 18.  
The Dutch Cyclo cross-racer took a total of 3 hours, 44 minutes and 38 seconds to cover the distance of 129 kilometres.
Recently, Marianne won the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championship and Dutch National Cyclo-cross Championships. She also won the Ronde van Drenthe and Fleche Wallonne Feminine.
Kirsten Wild of AA Drink-Leontien.nl was the runner-up with the same timing of Marianne. Vera Koedooder of Specialised-DPD finished third with a difference of 2 minute and 16 seconds.
Sarah Duester of Nederland Bloeit was in good form, but she failed to gain a lead and grabbed the seventh spot with 2 minutes and 29 seconds down to Vos.
The three riders from Specialized-DPD team Aafke Eshuis, Britt Jansen, Karin Truijen and Berdienke Paus were disqualified from the stage.
A group of three riders made their first breakaway which included, Kirsten Wild (AA Drink-Leontien.nl), Marianne Vos (Nederland Bloeit), and Amy Pieters (Skil-Koga Cycling). All of them gained an advantage of few seconds and Kristen maintained her pace and
won the first sprint.
After few kilometres, Leisbeth de Vocht of Nationale Team Belgie increased his pace and took the second sprint ahead of Irene van den Broek and Sarah Duester.
However, in the final 20 kilometres, Vos attacked the group of 26 riders. Kristen took a lead of one minute over the peloton and built a final gap of 1 minute and 30 seconds. All of them worked together and build an advantage of two minutes.
Kristen tried his best, but she failed in the final 5 kilometres and Vos crossed the finish-line ahead of the other cyclists.
Marianne Vos took overall lead with the timing of 6 hours, 23 minutes and 9 seconds. Kristen Wild of AA Drink-Leotien.nl was the runner-up with 24 seconds behind Vos.
Sarah Duester of Nederland Bloeit was in the third spot with a difference of 2 minutes and 58 seconds.
Marianne Vos also won the overall sprint classification with 21 points ahead of Kirsten Wild and Liesbeth. Amy Pieters of Skil-Koga Cycling took the title of Army Pieters, ahead of Chantal Blaak.
