  1.  I've been smoking marijuana since age sixteen and I've been a type 1 diabetic since my thirteenth month of life.  I'm a physicist, age 26.  I've applied rigorous statistical analysis on the effects of several illicit substances.  Unlike some others, marijuana has no effect on blood sugar.  It take it he's a teenager.  I'm sure he's just behaving much less responsibly than he used to, as far as his diabetes care is concerned.  However, if he uses any stimulants, those can cause high bloodsugar directly.
