Marijuana help?

i wanna grow some..but i only have some old stems...i put them in some water to get water back through the stem..can i plant that and some how have it grow roots and actually grow a plant..i heard i can grow some using the stems is this true

No. Start with seeds.

If you have a LIVE plant you can take cuttings to create a new plant or 'clone',  I think this may be what you've been told and are perhaps getting slightly confused.

Not after their dry and dead, only if you cut the stem at the right angle, and you have to dip it in some root growing gel and then you can plant it. It's not that easy.

Old stems won't grow. You need to start with seed, or a live cutting.

Your most realistic chance of growing pot will be from seeds you get in a bag of weed that you buy.  You take the seeds and put them in the middle of 2 wet paper towels and put that inside a ziplock bag.  In a day or two a little root should start to come out of the seeds and then you can put it in soil.  (about a quarter inch under)
