Marinate? italian dressing?

ok my last post gave me a good soloution but im confused how do i marinate the chicken and what italian sauce should i get or how do i make it ?

  1. just get any bottle of italian dressing and marinate the chicken in it for a few hours or overnight


  2. Italian dressing: 3 parts oil to 1 part vinegar (you can use balsamic, apple cider whatever you like), garlic and fresh or dried herbs.

    Marinate means to soak in. I find it best to score the chicken so you get more flavor threw out.

    Put dressing and chicken in a baggy or bowl and refrigerate for up to 24hrs (I would leave it for at least 30 mins).

    To get the most flavor BBQ, but baking or frying is fine.

  3. Yes Italian dressing. You can buy the bottle already in the store. Just pour on marinate for a couple hours or so. The meat will be greatly tender. I use balsamic vinegar sometimes , sometimes white or red wine. I experiment and my hubby loves it. Happy cooking.

Any italian dressing will work well.  You can buy it, or get the packet of dry ingredients that you mix with your own vinegar and oil.  Thaw the chicken, put it in a big ziplock baggie or in a bowl, add the dressing, and let it sit.  You can marinate for 10-15 minutes, or several hours, depending on how much flavor you want to give the chicken.  

    When done, be sure to throw the marinade and baggie away, as there is always the chance that it is contaminated with salmonella.  Whatever you do, don't use it on a salad!
