  1. No signing bonuses are given in the Marines. Sorry, my friend! If you want one, go Army.

  2. You don't just walk in and say you're gonna be Marine Corps Infantry.  You'll be lucky if you get assigned 0311.  They're gonna try to put you in supply or drive truck.  Everybody wants to be infantry.  There is no extra bonus.

  3. 0311 is currently one of the most popular MOS's in the Marines so you'll be very lucky if they have slots open for you.

The Marines do not give out signing bonuses to anyone enlisting. You get re-enlistment bonuses and may or may not receive a bonus if your ship date gets moved up to fill an empty slot.

  4. All Marines start as infantry. Every Marine is a rifleman some just get extra training to drive a truck or be a cook or something else. But when the **** hits the fan every Marine hits the beach and holds a rifle. The only bonus you get is being able to call yourself a Marine for the rest of your life.

  5. No sign on bonus, but you can get re-enlistment bonuses.  No bonus for MOS either.  If you are in combat, you will recieve hazard pay.  If you are a jumper and combatant diver, you will recieve hazerd pay.  Marines are the least funded when it comes to the ground combat element.  Most of the money goes towards the Marine aviation.  So there will be no money floating around for bonuses.  Re-enlistmen bonus exists as an incentitive for staying in, since 75-percent get out after their 4-5 years.

  6. usually they do not give sign on bonus if you havent already served. Being a Marine is a privileged. i know it would be great if they did, because lets face it, who doesnt need money.

but as a straight answer - no.

here is an article about new bonus coming out for those who are re-enlisting.
