Marine baby ...1 year old.... babysitting, nanny??

i will most likely be on base and i will have no family with me... will it just be me and my daughter... isthere any way i can have relief from her for like an hour or two ? At some point i know i am gonna wanna come up for air ...

Usually if you join a churhc in your area, you can consult the nursery director and she will point you to some teens who are qualified to watch your child.

If I am understanding your question you are going to be alone caring for a 1 year old while living on base -

You need to contact the local Military Child Care Referral office and get information about home providers that are in your area. They will be regulated by the military to provide a good standard of care and learning. They will also be inspected on a regular basis. They will give you a list of proividers and you need to call around and see who provides drop in care and get thier fees/policies. Each provider charges a different rate and each will have their own rules because they are self run. The military only makes sure they follow their strict standards of care. The plus side is most of these providers are also military spouses so they understand what you are going thru.

I gather you're going to be a single mother or with your husband and plan on living in base housing. They have child care centers on base plus a lot of women baby sit. You shouldn't have any problem finding someone to watch your daughter.

Most bases have childcare centers.  And you find other families with young children and be able to swap out babysitting.

ask about it at a frg meeting, some posts have like a monthly thing where parents can get away and its only a couple of bucks, also check into day care centers on base ran by other familys
