  1.  this question is stupid. marines go over and come back. the ones who die are the ones who make mistakes. not that many. my cousin is a marine and so am i. ive been in the marines for 14 years now and ive seen maybe 6 mrines die by my side. they messed up and if you want to know the anwser to this question why dont you just go and join. see how many die. see how many of us mighty soldiers fall. you find many. we go in first and come out last nomatter what. we dont die on the battle feild either. we stay, we watch, we continue to protect beside out brothers and sisters. so the monthly death count is 0.

  2. If entering the marines, you have a right to know what the chance of losing your life is. The people on this site need to calm down.

  3. when you are a marine or gonna be one you take the job knowing death is a option in this line of work, but it's a honor to serve in one the most respected braches. the strong survive and the not so lucky we still honor them for their services to this great nation. it all depends sir what you wanna get out of it. if ur looking to be elite with great combat knowledge marines or maybe army is for you, if not theres always great oppurtunitys with the airforce, navy, coastguard etc, just remeber any service of the u.s. military is a great honor i hope all goes well whatever you decide sir GOD BLESS

  4. Roughly 7 as of now in afghan
    source: I'm here

  5. "marines don't die, they just go to h**l and regroup."

  6. 1775-2010 (235 yrs) [2820 months]

    You do the math: http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq56-1.htm

Add 'em up and divide by 2820

  7. you all are dumbasses and I am in the military and if thats your reason for joining or not joining or picking a service, you should just stay the f**k home, seriously, and dont worry im out there so you can sleep good tonight....

  8. For everyone calling this guy a messed up person, just relax, he's just curious. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know what your chances of dying are.

  9. one day you'll die sittin around worrying about it will cut you off on life go through it live it cuz you only got one shot

  10. A little harsh much? Maybe if your worried about that much, you should consider another branch with lower death rate/less chance of combat. I.E the airforce or coast guard. not saying they dont do the dirty work just saying, We the U.S have a superior airforce and coast guard is most likely non-combatant. but all branches are of equal importance: to to protect the freedom of The United States of America. thought it might help and this link should help too. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/25/AR2006082500940.html

  11. You are all fuc*^ng stupid.

  12. hey Guest13093412- your a joke, seriously dude just aswer the question and yes it should help whether you go in , he may decide to go in to the coastguard which has only had 1 death since the iraq war. i will admit im not a soldier but in the near future i will be. and ive been to bootcamp.

  13. ummm, first off most of you guys are dumbasses....
"mehh, its messed up for asking, thoseguys died i honor, maybe this quote will help you"
it is not an everyday job, you dont get to come home at the end f the day and complain about the annoying b***h that looked at you a way you didnt like....
those same guys that died...i know, they died in honor obviously...but this same thouht most likely went thrugh their head before they joined...it is a natural curiosity of someone joining the military....dude....marines even though they are first in and last out...they have a way lower death rate than the army...justso you know...there is no "rate" though..it really depends on the missions the boys are handling over in iraq.
