Marine fiance's birthday... HELP?

My fiance is a Marine. His birthday is on Aug.30th. He also just happens to be getting back into Hawaii from his first deployment to Iraq on that day. I think i will wait until he's home on leave on September 20th to give him a gift but i have no freaking clue what to get they guy. I'm really bad at gifts. Any ideas?

  1. He'll be happy just to see your smiling face and to be back home again.  Anything you give him will be worth it's weight in gold.
