Here is some information related to marine pollution as it relates to my work. I work with the design of buildings/development on the surface of the planet and the emissions associated with development.

Goverments and their meteorologists provide regional climate data for the entire country because we want architects, engineers, construction trades, municipal inspectors, realtors, homeowners, etc to ensure we don&#039;t impose on the environment with development. Forestry harvests trees to produce lumber for that development and for sale to build the world. We mine or produce other materials to accommodate building and developing the planet.

Meteorologists, marine biologists, agriculture, medical, hydrology, geologists, municipalities, states, countries, United Nations, etc and academia assume that my profession is doing our jobs so they can do theirs. With that we are ideally complimenting other professionals to achieve sustainable lifestyles and economy. This is what we are insured for. Sustainability means not impacting future generations with what we do today.

The regional climate passed on by meteorologists and governments determine the insulation values of buildings. The amount of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are a result of the insulated value. Building Codes discuss solar radiation except none of the design criteria is ever verified.

Buildings are signed off as compliant and insured because professionals couldn&#039;t see the temperature associated with design criteria. Academia is actually blind to building performance and we use calculators for temperature considerations.

Thermografix Consulting Corporation completed several years of research using building professionals in conjunction with the most advanced temperature imaging applications in the world. The rule was solar radiation was causing buildings and development to generate extreme heat the building isn&#039;t designed or insulated for. California and others are actually being knocked off the electrical grid treating heat symptoms.

Ozone depletion refrigerants under the name of air conditioning is being used to treat the heat symptoms. That requires more electrical load and produces more toxic emissions, mercury emissions, acid rain, etc with the wasted energy production.

All of those emissions go up in the air and end up in our water and food sources where they travel downstream into the oceans of the world. How does a baby that has never taken a breath have banned pesticides inside them as well as mercury, incinerated garbage, Teflon, fire retardents, fossil fuel emissions, etc? Mom is drinking, breathing and eating them.

Our waste water treatment isn&#039;t designed to catch any dissolved chemicals and testing for the chemicals isn&#039;t completed. Everything we pee, p**p and place in our toilets ends up in the food chain as well as carries into the oceans.

How will mercury, emissions, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, herbicides and thousands of other chemicals affect marine life? How safe is consumption of seafood with these chemicals inside them and the amount of sewage being dumped is increasing. In 2005 McLean&#039;s Magazine reported Canada dumping 200 billion litres of raw sewage in our water. Who lives upstream from you and what does raw sewage do to marine life?

Go to the following link and scroll down to the picture of the fetus where you can link to the study on polluted newborns. The study showed a 100% toxicity ratio in newborns and reproductive problems. What would 100% toxicity mean to marine life?

The worst part of all of the above is that they are addressing none of it and not discussing the heat generation from buildings on marine life as it warms our waters.

I hope this gives you provocative things to think about because the world is in serious trouble while we argue the results of a calculator.
