The problem isn't fuel related, I don't believe. The primer bulb stays hard (we had that prob before). This is an oil injected motor. We had it out a couple of days ago and it seemed to go thru almost a third or maybe a little more of the oil it had. Today we went out. Cruised around a little then parked to fish, started it up to move and parked and fished some more. Same oil usage as before. Went to start again and it wouldn't start. It tried just couldn't.

I noticed during the starting attempts that some oil was coming to the surface and making those really cool swirly patterns in the water. Trailered it home. Went out to look and the oil resevoir is empty. Roommate said it seemed to be leaking by the prop. When we pulled out of the water, the water coming out of the bottom of the engine was pretty oily. So, are we screwed?

  1. No your not screwed. The problem is your oil pump.First is the

oil pump on the engine or does it have the pump mounted on the oil reservoir? If it has the pump on the reservoir great. To fix the problem all you will need to do is remove the oil tank and pump. The only set back is you will need to mix your fuel in the

tank again(50:1) or purchase a new auto blend system. If the pump is mounted on the engine you will need a new one.

Hope this has helped and good luck.
