Ok so soon as i leave school i wanna join the British Army or the Royal Marines. If i were to join the british army regular i would wanna be an infantry soldier. What my real question is though is that if i do join one of the two, what would be best suited to me.

I like combat and want to be in the frontline.

would i see more combat in the Royal marines or the British Army?

and i know about the training (RM much harder) but still does british army have more combat and see more combat (like iraq) more then RM

Thanks and sorry my question is awkward but i dont know how else to tell this question. i guess i like physical jobs :)

  1. I don't know how it works in England, but in the US if you go through Marine Corps boot camp and serve your time you can then join any other branch of the military without having to go through their bootcamp.  I do not know if it is the same there, but if so, that may give you something to consider.  Possibly the Royal Marines first, and their bootcamp and after your time is up there then switch to British Army if there isn't as much action as you would like to see.  Every branch is important though whether you are shooting, or keeping someone in the air, so they can shoot.

  2. You can do taster courses for the both

i suggest you do those before you decide

the marines see more action than you think my friend ;)
