As a United States Marine would I be allowed to purchase a Trijicon Acog with 4 x 32 scope for my M16A4 and bring it with me for my deployment?

  1. Talk to your chain of command and see if they will allow that to be put on the weapons.  When I was in Iraq the first time, we were allowed to have any optic we wanted, we had guys buying 600 dollar Leupold hunting scopes and putting them on their M4's.  Its what your chain of command will allow.  Also, your unit may have that already in their list of upcoming unit purchases for deployment, so rather than spending the big bucks on an ACOG, wait and see what they say to having them.
