Marines learn Martial Arts, can Sailors learn Martial Arts too?

Question

I've always wanted to learn some martial arts and I joined the Navy, so does anyone know if I will be able to learn any martial arts in the Navy? I've heard that on the aircraft carriers there are chances to learn Tae Kwon Do from instructors who've come on the ship for classes.

Marines learn martial arts because it is a requirement in boot camp..

I dont think the Navy or any other branch does this..While in the Navy you can do as you please in your free time and this includes taking martial arts classes..

Well if your a Corpman get attached to a Marine unit and you can go through the Marine Corps Martial Arts (MCMAP) and get your belts just like the Marines.

i hope so. i joined also and iv been doin jiu jitsu for 6 years it would be nice if they had classed run by marine martial arts instructors for both sailors and marines while out at sea.
