  1. It's really a give or take, as you said they both have their pros and cons. I will tell you that while the Army serves longer tours, the Marines are treated like absolute c**p. Our branch of service is the one that is the most behind the times, so if you're looking for top-of-the-line gear to actually fight with, you want to join the Army.

Please do not forget that in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, you can actually CHOOSE your MOS (job). In the Marines, you get to suggest what you want, but your actual MOS is assigned to you based on a few different factors.

Even if you do get that particular MOS, depending on your unit and how smart (or how big of a s***w up) you are, you aren't guaranteed to actually DO any infantry work! The Marine Corps puts you where they need you...and for all you know, that could be behind a desk.

  2. army

  3. It depends on how much money you want.  Army= faster promotions, and a larger enlistment bonus currently.  There are more locations in the States to be assigned to in the Army, and the benefits are greater through the Army.  Seriously, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) offers better merchandise than the Navy Exchanges, and that is really what it all comes down too anyway!!

  4. marines, i have respect for army but that really is the easy way, army basic had become easier than Air Force because of trouble recruiting, if you want to be infantry join the marines

  5. It really comes down to which won would make you more proud.  The marines are a much smaller branch, shorter tours in Iraq and afgan (normally 6 months).  The Army is a huge branch with more bases to choose from and much longer deployments (usually 12-16 months)

  6. It depends on what you want from a military career. The previous poster was right insofar as that Marines can be cocky and soldiers can be disgruntled. I ask you, is the title of "Marine" that important to you? Don't forget to think about the job you'll be doing and where you'll be doing it. I was Army Special Ops, and I can tell you that I looked hard at the Marines but am happy I chose the Army. In the Army, you're generally going to get easier access to schools (airborne, air assault, pathfinder, et al.), faster promotion, and a better choice of station within the US. More importantly, you're still gonna be what the Army considers "high speed," and not a pogue. The best example I can offer is that I knew quite a few people who left the Marines to put on Army green for those reasons I cited above. The Marines are an awesome and necessary force, but there is a lot of pride in being able to say you're an 11bangbang, too. Infantry, lead the way!!!

  7. 25 countires in 8 years most of them on my first enlistment. You like to travel?

  8. Your words here "ur a homo"..remember those words?

the only homo is the one in your mirror coward..join the army loser, its perfect for you and while your gone ill handle your wife punk..

watch what you say and who you say it to..coward

  9. I was an Army infantryman in an airborne unit.  You'll see a lot of idiots in both branches..Marines are cocky.  Army guys are usually disgruntled.  My unit replaced a marine unit in the Fallujah area and was replaced by a marine unit.  I was very suprised at the lack of tactical knowhow from the marines I came into contact with.  When we took over, their defense of the outpost was on par with what the Iraqis were capable of.  Their excuse was the marines are an offensive organization not a defensive one.  My argument is, you're called to do a job, do it right.  They were also too cocky to listen to our warnings about sniper activity which led to 3 marine deaths that I know of.  They took many more casualties than we did and were running fewer missions.  I was not at all impressed.  I'm not saying that is the whole marine corps but, that is what they showed us.  As far as our unit, we were disgruntled but knew our jobs well and actually did quite well in our corner of Iraq.

  10. The Army is perfect for you..Your Army material..Quit kidding yourself about being a Mairne and enlist in the Army..

And thanks for your cute comment slick..I wonder why you dont allow emails?? I wonder why??

  11. Marines......unless you're a pu**y.......

  12. If you even have to question which branch you would choose then go Army... Marines WANT to be Marines.
