Marino Prince expected to win Claiming Hurdle
Marino Prince looks to be strong enough to finish first in Totepool Mobile Text Tote To 89660 Claiming Hurdle, a Class 5 contest which will take place at Carlisle racecourse on Saturday, April 7.
The high-stakes race over 2m1f distance is scheduled to begin at 3:25 (GMT). For the prize money of £2,599, the Joanne Foster-trained bay gelding will compete against Court Jester, Sir Tantallus Hawk, Cantrell, Wee Giant Long Distance, The Boozy Bishop,
Jan Smuts and Azebra.
Marino Prince excellently grabbed 1st position in his second last outing on March 7, 2012. The maverick horse moved forward to finish 5th in the subsequent start.
Overall, the brilliant gelding has won 8 out of his total 62 races to date, earning £18,721 as prize money.
The way Marino Prince has performed on different tracks since making his debut in September 2007 shows that he possesses immense talent and fighting sprit which he will surely unleash in tomorrow’s showdown.
The hot favourite gelding’s chances to finish first in the race are as high as 90 percent provided he manages to capitalise well on his inherent capabilities.
Among the other runners, Sir Tantallus Hawk and Wee Giant are likely to perform well in the race.
Sir Tantallus elegantly grabbed first spot in a big race on February 12, 2012. The Alan Swinbank-trained bay gelding went on to finish 5th and 6th in the two subsequent outings. Overall, he has 7 triumphs to his name.
On the other hand, Wee Giant has won 3 out of his total 26 starts so far. The trainee of Pam Sly elegantly grabbed 3rd top spot in his last outing on January 1, 2012. He also owns enough confidence for the coming marathon.
Come what may, success seems to be leaning towards Marino Prince. If the gelding avoids making any mistake, he will surely be able to browbeat his rivals to pave his way towards victory.  However, the competition will be rip-roaring. A large number of spectators
are likely to turn out to the venue to enjoy the live action. Good luck to all the contestants.
