Mario Balotelli reveals AC Milan plans
Manchester City’s summer acquisition http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 has vowed to remain at the club for at least two more years, but admitted that he would like to join AC Milan in the future.
It is no secret that the Italian has been homesick ever since he moved to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 in August, last year. For now, Balotelli has committed his immediate future to City, but he did acknowledge the fact that AC Milan will be his preferred
destination in the long run.
Talking about his future at Eastlands, Balotelli said, “Me with Ibra (Zlatan Ibrahimovich) and Cassano at Milan? It'll happen soon. For this year, and another, I will stay at City where I'm fine.”
The Italian’s comments come in the wake of Antonio Cassano’s move to AC Milan. The striker recently joined the Serie A giants from Sampdoria and Balotelli conceded that he was a little jealous of his national teammate.
The Manchester City striker said, “Do I envy Cassano for going to AC Milan? A little.”
The cocky Italian then added, “(Milan owner) Silvio Berlusconi said that Cassano is the best Italian talent - he's wrong or doesn't know Balotelli.”
Balotelli’s 24 million pound move from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the summer already seems like a bargain, considering his contributions for Manchester City. The 20-year-old Italy international has made a big impact in the short time for which
he has been in the Premier League, scoring a phenomenal 8 goals in 11 appearances for the Citizens.
Mario last featured in the 4-0 thrashing of Aston Villa on 28 December 2010, where he scored his first hat trick for the club. The recurrence of a long-standing knee injury recently forced the Manchester City medical staff to rule
him out for at least a month.
However, the striker revealed that he would not need surgery on his knee, much to the relief of manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323.
Speaking of his recent injury scare, Balotelli said, “My knee still gives me trouble but the cartilage is OK. I don't need another operation. In a few weeks I'll be back on the field.”
Now, it remains to be seen whether the Italian can pick up where he left off when he returns to action in the coming weeks.
