Manchester City forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. Should he be found guilty for stomping Scott Parker, he could miss out on four games.
Tottenham Hotspur took on Manchester City in the Premier League, with both the teams looking to pick up the win in the game.
However, given the form that both the clubs were in, they pushed each other till injury time where the scores were level at two all. In the last minute of the game, Balotelli was taken out by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ledley-King-c21859 and City were awarded a penalty. Balotelli stepped
up to take the spot kick and sent his effort into the back of the net with ease.
Despite him scoring the match winner, the talk of the town was the stomp that Balotelli gave to Parker just minutes before scoring from the penalty spot.
The FA has now given the striker till Wednesday evening to come forth and explain himself. Should he fail to do so, he could miss out on the Carling Cup game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 and Fulham.
However, should the striker go on and give a very poor explanation, he could potentially be given a much longer ban.
As a result, it is a wait till Wednesday evening to see just what sort of ban/punishment the FA decides to impose on the Italian international.
While Balotelli was punished for his rather accidental (or so he says) actions, his team mate http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joleon-Lescott-c18941 escaped unpunished for a similar action.
The defender went on to physically elbow http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Younes-Kaboul-c37543 in the face much earlier in the game, but so far, there has been no decision made against the defender and it seems more than likely for him to escape without any punishment.
It is rather bizarre for the FA to go on and punish Balotelli, but leave Lescott completely unaffected for his actions.
Not only does this show the inconsistency in the FA and their decisions, but it also reveals that they just don’t know what to do at times and do as they please.
