Mario Chalmers hosting an exhibition game in Alaska: NBA News

At a time when NBA lockout is on the verge of affecting the whole NBA season and the players are determined to get the labour dispute resolved through the legal process, the exhibition games are the only way for the basketball
fans to enjoy some action.
The latest in the string of these games is the one that will be hosted by Mario Chalmers on 1st December at the Sullivan Arena in Alaska. The 25-year-old Chalmers recently confirmed the event through his twitter account,
"Its official folks”, he said.
According to reports, about 19 players have committed already. These players include name likes Mario’s teammate Chris Bosh, Chicago Bulls Carlos Boozer, Minnesota Timberwolves Michael Beasley, Washington Wizards’ John Wall, Oklahoma
City Thunder’s James Harden and Los Angeles Clippers’ Eric Gordon.
Buddy Bailey of Alaska Hoops, Incorporation, who is helping Mario Chalmers in organizing the exhibition game, stated that the upcoming event is going to be like an NBA All-Star game, featuring an eventful day of basketball.
"It's gonna be like a giant NBA all-star game in Alaska that has never been seen before. We did sign contracts with every player. They really don't have a whole lot else going on anyway. There is a certain mystique about Alaska.
There are a lot of guys excited to come here. We're gonna show them how cool Alaska is, how much we love our state," Bailey said.
The tickets for the charity game will go on sale from today, pricing from $25 to $150. The tickets can also be purchased from Sullivan Arena Box Office apart from online subscription. The seating capacity of the arena is 7,987
and the event is expected to be sold out.
Miami Heat’s superstar Dwyane Wade, who is very close to the young guard Mario, has not committed to appear in the exhibition games due to personal commitments.
"I told him that's going to be tough. I got two boys that go to school, so when I make moves, they've got to be moves made because I have to. I told Mario, I said, 'Listen, I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it.' I'm not
going to say no, but I'm not going to say yes."  Wade said.
Mario Chalmers exhibition games will be played in a big arena which might make it the biggest such event held so far during the lockout.
