The Brazilian International has drawn similarities between the two great coaches and has told about the most painful injury in his entire playing career
CSKA Moscow defender, Mario Fernandez, has hailed Leonid Slutsky and compared him to former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SL-Benfica-c40542 manager, Paulo Autuori.
The Brazilian International, who joined the Russian Premier League club after leaving Gremio during the winter transfer window, got a chance to train under Autuori at Gremio for a short period.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361 manager helped the Brazilian outfit in climbing up the league table after introducing impressive tactics, techniques and making key decision at any given point during his short tenure at Olímpico Monumental.
Consequently, Fernandez is of the belief that his compatriot was more like his current manager at Luzhniki stadium.
The 22-year-old, who missed just one league match until now, insisted that Slutsky can end the Moscow-based club’s long trophy wait after helping the Russian outfit in winning the league title this season.
“Slutsky is a great coach with a winning mentality. Although he remains very calm, he gives his players complete freedom and does not point out small thing which leads to more confidence and awareness. He makes good adjustments
at the right time when needed. That's what he is good at.
“I remember Autuori was just like him, calm and moderate.” The Silver Ball winner was quoted as saying.
While speaking about why he still wear a protective mask on his face despite recovering from the facial injury, Fernandez said that he does not want to pick up yet another injury in near future after a broken nose troubled him
to enter the pitch.
“I went to a clinic at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 after sustaining the injury and now I think that I will play in a mask until the end of this year. After that I will think about removing it.” He concluded.
Fernandez revealed that he was not afraid of injuries until the one he sustained just before the important league fixture against Lokomotiv Moscow at home. The defensive powerhouse went on to urge his team-mates to retain the top-spot
on the league table.
