Mario Gomez: SC Freiburg were difficult to beat on Saturday – Bundesliga news
Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez reveals that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 were extremely hard to beat despite the 7-0 thumping of the visitors. Both the teams locked heads on Saturday, September 10 at Allianz Arena with Gomez collecting four goals.
Franck Ribery and Nils Petersen shared the other three goals between them to complete a resounding win. Bayern also maintain their top position on the table with 12 points from five games.
Gomez believes that it was a collective team effort which shaped up the victory over Freiburg. He told that the visitor’s defence was hard to break at times but Ribery and Muller’s presence in the middle made it possible for him to score four times. Gomez
has now scored eight goals in the league so far. He further added that Munich were made to work hard for their efforts but once the second goal went in, the visitors started losing shape.
Gomez hailed the efforts of his teammate Franck Ribery, who collected a brace and was outstanding in the middle. The player, at the same time, urged his fellow players to train hard and try to put in similar performance in the upcoming Champions League encounter

During the press conference after the game, Gomez further enthused, "It's not as easy as it may look because there’s a lot of hard work behind it. We have a very balanced group: everyone attacks and everyone defends, from number one to number 11. At the
end of the day, the goalscoring looks easy, but all of them [goals] were the result of wonderful moves. Provided we keep our concentration high, we’re difficult to beat in the Bundesliga."
Gomez aims to grab the award for Bundesliga top goalscorer having previously achieved the feat last season. Gomez will next be in action against Villarreal on Wednesday.
