“We started well, and although we faded for a time, we were right back in it after Toni Kroos’s goal. At the end of the day, we deserved to win, although Hannover had two good chances at the end,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.

“We didn’t take all the openings on offer to us, which is why it became tight later on. It was a very important win. Everything else doesn’t interest us at the moment. All our matches until the end of the season are finals. These knockout matches make it very appealing,” he concluded.
Jupp Heynckes’ side are now five points behind the Borussians with the latter having won their game against FC Koln. The Bavarians still have to play seven games until the end of the season which includes a fixture against the reigning German champions at the Signal Iduna Park.
