Mario Gomez believes Die Bayern Munich can compete with Real Madrid - Bundesliga Update
Bayern Munich prolific striker, Mario Gomez, believes that the Bavarians are good enough to compete with the La Liga giants Real Madrid. Gomez has voiced his opinion that Die Roten have got what it takes to compete with the Los Blancos.
The 25-year-old striker, who has scored 30 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions, thinks that his side is better in some areas from the Spanish giants. Being in top form the hitman is confident to take the game to Real and give a tough time to one
of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Gomez said, “Real Madrid are certainly one of the biggest teams in the sporting aspect of the game. However, overall, I think Bayern Munich can compete with Madrid. I think that Bayern are even ahead of Real Madrid when it comes to everything off the pitch.”
The German international striker also suggested that he has remained a vital part for the Bavarians since his arrival from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 in 2009/10 season. The 25-year-old striker admits that he had never thought of leaving the club and looking to serve
the Bavarians in the future.
Gomez said, “I've always felt very well at Bayern. When I was linked with a move away from the club last summer, I only wanted to leave on a temporary basis to get regular first team action elsewhere. I'm extremely happy that I eventually decided to stay
put.”
The Bavarians are currently placed third in the league table, trailing the league leaders Borussia Dortmund by a mammoth 14 points. The Bavarians snatched the third spot from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 last week, when they eventually emerged victorious 1-0 against the
relegation contenders Borussia Monchengladbach. Hannover made things easy when they lost to the Borussians 4-1.
Die Roten have scored the most goals in the season, much to owe to their prolific striker. However, the Bavarians management have to offer him an improved contract extension if they want to hold on to their prized asset. It is likely that Gomez will opt
to stay at the Bundesliga outfit as he is giving out good output with his current team.
