The Bavarian giants will have to cope without their star striker in the upcoming campaign after he required surgery on his ankle because of the damage done in a pre season fixture.
Bayern Munich were rocked by reports that their talisman Mario Gomez is facing a lengthy lay-off after news that he will need an operation on the ankle injury, which will force him out of action for at least a month.
