The Bayern Munich striker has vowed to go all out against a dangerous Real Madrid in the second-leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final.
Bayern Munich striker, Mario Gomez, has advised his side to go all out against an ominous Madrid side when the two teams meet in the return leg of their Champions League last-four tie. The fixture will take place on Wednesday,
April 25, at the Santiago Bernabeu with Bayern leading the Spanish outfit after the 2-1 first-leg win.
The attacker claimed that his teammates are high on confidence and will definitely not take things lightly despite a slender lead after the first phase. He clarified that manager, Jupp Heynckes, has suggested his players to attack
from the word go and try scoring an early away goal which will put extra pressure on the Primera Division side.
While speaking to dpa, the former Stuttgart star further added: "We will attack, just as Real will do. If we put in a performance like we did in the home leg, we will get into the final.”
On the other hand, Heynckes admitted that his side will be under pressure in the early stages but is confident that the Reds can handle the situation properly. He stated that Madrid’s win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 at the weekend will have
no impact on this game and players from both sides will need to start from the scratch.
"Usually you say, when a team like Madrid wins 2-1 in the Nou Camp and in doing so virtually decides the championship, that is an advantage. However, we can never know exactly," Heynckes added.
The manager also urged his side not to lose control in a crucial encounter or Bayern might have to do without few of their first team players if they were to play the final of the competition. Seven of the players are on a warning
and one more yellow card to any of those names will deprive them of playing the Champions League final.
"That cannot be allowed to play a roll. You cannot pull back, because one thing is clear: it will be hot in the Bernabeu," the former Bayer Leverkusen supremo concluded.
The final of the competition will take place at the Allianz Arena on May 19.
