The German duo has expressed their desire to stay at their respective clubs, and have dismissed rumours linking them with a move to the Premier League...
Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Mario Gotze, has once again confirmed that he will stay at the Signal Iduna Park until the end of this season.
Gotze is tied with the Black Yellows until the end of 2013/14 campaign, and is expected to assess his options at the end of the ongoing season. The inspirational midfielder could be on his way out of the club in the summer transfer
window if Dortmund retain their Bundesliga crown.
The 19-year-old admitted that he is happy at Dortmund, and has no intentions of leaving the club in the near future.
While talking to Bild, Gotze further added:
"We're both playing at clubs where we are definitely not unhappy. At least, I haven't given any signals that I want to leave the club to date."
The German international is heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
Gotze has bagged five goals and as many assists from 14 league appearances so far this season. He is currently nursing a hamstring injury and is expected to return to action against Hamburg SV on Sunday, January 22.
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 has also denied speculations linking him with a move away from Borussia-Park in the ongoing January transfer window. Despite attracting interest from a host of European clubs, the attacker wants to
honour his contract which runs until 2015.
Reus was tipped to leave the Foals this winter, but he has decided to follow in the footsteps of his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 teammate, Gotze. The 22-year-old wants to concentrate on winning the Bundesliga title, and is hoping to help his side
in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
"On this subject I've said many times that I have a contract here in Gladbach until 2015. Of course it is appealing to play internationally with Borussia, and that is realistic." He concluded.
Reus has scored 10 league goals from 14 appearances so far, and his next test will be against Bayern Munich after the winter break on Friday, January 20.
