The Borussia Dortmund midfielder is satisfied with the club’s plans for the future and is confident that his side will retain the Bundesliga title this term.
The reigning German champions look set to retain the Bundesliga title this year also as they have a five-point lead over second placed Bayern Munich with just seven games to go until the end of the season. The club is also delighted
with the news that Gotze has committed his long-term future after the midfielder signed a two-year extension to his current deal.
Gotze’s future had been under widespread speculation with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and Bayern Munich interested in acquiring the player in the summer. But the player shrugged off any interest after he signed a contract extension to
stay with his current side until 2016.
The German international claimed that he has great affection for the club and admitted that the side has a bright future ahead. He insisted that the club is on the right track and expressed his satisfaction on the progress of the
team under Jurgen Klopp in the last two years.
“I've always said that BVB are an absolute matter of the heart and I am deeply rooted in the club. The team have great prospects. I feel that something good is growing here. We are pleased with our development, which is nowhere
near its end, and I'll do my part to help,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Gotze admitted that he is looking forward to playing with Marco Reus, who will join Dortmund at the end of the season from Borussia Monchengladbach. The player added that the signing of Reus proves that the Borussians
are heading in the right direction.

Mario Gotze has thus far made 22 appearances for Borussia Dortmund this season and has found the net six times. The player has started training after missing a month with a hip injury.
