The Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder has been ruled out for up to two months following a groin injury.
Mario Gotze has been ruled out of action for up to two months following his stress injury of the pubic bone. At first, the injury did not seem to be threatening, but the scans revealed that Gotze will need to rest for nearly eight
weeks.
The midfielder missed out on his team’s 5-1 victory over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 on Sunday, January 22, having impressed during the season’s first-half. Gotze’s injury is a huge loss for the Borussians who rely heavily on the inspirational
teenager.
Dortmund have also previously struggled in the games where Gotze has been missing, and it will be a challenge for Jurgen Klopp’s men to cope without the talented midfielder.
As a result of his injury, Gotze will also be missing Germany’s anticipated International Friendly against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 on February 29. The player has admitted that he is looking forward to stage a quick comeback from injury.

On the other hand, Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, also expressed his disappointment on Gotze’s injury. He mentioned that the teenager is a prized asset, and the positive thing is that the 19-year-old will be fresh and healthy

"The only positive aspect of this injury is that he can at last have a few days rest. Mario knows that we are waiting for him, the important thing is that he comes back to us completely healthy again," Klopp added.

"The diagnosis is, of course, a blow for us. We'll have to compensate for his loss as best we can. I hope that Mario can play again soon and can put himself forward for the European Championships,” Zorc concluded.
Gotze has so far made 14 league appearances this season, bagging five goals and as many assists during the process.
