In mario kart wii, why does doing a wheelie on a bike make you go faster?

Wouldn't that make more wind resistance?

  1. Hmmm.... interesting question.  I don't know, it just does haha.

  2. Because it makes it challenging to see how long that wheelie will be held without having to hop down for a sharp turn, or you get hit by someone, or slip over a banana peel. They reward you for your skill to stay on the wheelie.

  3. It looks cool

  4. In Mario Kart Wii, lightning makes you shrink, banana peels can derail the largest vehicles, mushrooms enhance your speed or size, and turtle shells are missiles of various tracking capabilities.

You're surprised by wheelie speed-boosts why?

  5. It's a game. Wind and stuff don't matter. Especially in Mario Games!

  6. its a game and games dont have to follow reality. which is probably a good thing...

  7. In the world of video games defying gravity is normal.

  8. Ehm i really dont know, its the game really
