player and is willing to give his all.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 man added that he is eager to take the opportunities coming his way amid tough competition for places at the club. The forward is looking forward to the start of the season and is confident that Bayern
Munich will reclaim glory.
“I'm not pleased that I'm obliged to play because of something like this. It's a bitter blow, because he and every other player is important to us. I hope Mario gets better soon. I'm ready to give it my best shot if I'm selected,”
the Croatian was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes believes that the club have great depth and players such as Pizarro and Mandzukic will help the side when the season begins. He admitted that it was a great decision on the club’s
part to add players this summer in attack and surely the decision has paid off.
“Mario Mandzukic has shown he can hold his own as a lone striker, and Claudio Pizarro is another excellent striker, who scored 18 goals and laid on 11 last year. You see how important it was for us to sign players for that position.
It's good we have such quality in the squad,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will take on Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup on August 12 at the Allianz Arena.
